Professor Maria Conca, awarded the Joan Valls i Jordà Prize for the Use and Promotion of the Catalan language

A professor at the University of Valencia Maria Conca, a member of the Department of Catalan, secretary of the Institute of Valencian Philology and director of Multilingual Education Unit (EMU), has been awarded the 19th Joan Valls and Jordà Prize for the use and promotion of Catalan. The award ceremony will be held tomorrow, March 23, at 20:00, in Alcoi.

These awards are granted by the organization Friends of Joan Valls, in Alcoi, in recognition of the use and promotion of Catalan and, this year, the work and career of professor Maria Conca Beneixama and Aramultimèdia digital diary have been awarded.

Awards will be presented at a public event on Saturday, 23 March, at the headquarters of the Club of Friends of UNESCO Alcoi, which also presented the play "El pes de les ales'' by Francesc Bernàcer, winner of the XXX Poetry Prize Manuel Rodríguez Martínez - Alcoi.
