The professor Vicente Ripoll receives the ACCID Award for Academic Excellence

The professor doctor Vicente Ripoll.

Vicente Ripoll, doctor of Economics and Accountancy and professor of the Department of Accountancy at the University of Valencia, has received the Award for Academic Excellence in the 9th edition of the Catalan Association of Accountancy and Management (ACCID) Awards. These awards are given to those academicians or academic institutions that have contributed to the development of teaching and research in the field of accounting.

 

The professor Vicente Ripoll has been teaching Costs Accounting, Management and Control for more than thirty five years. In addition, he is the president of the LatinAmerican Association of Management Control (AICOgestión), and he directs and teaches the Master's Degree in Finances and Management Control of the University of Valencia, which has received the Award University-Society in its 16th edition of the Board of trustees of the university to postgraduate training activity and specialization. He also directs the research group IMACCev, Valencian researching team on strategic cost management.

He has published more than 25 articles in national and international magazines. He is the author, together with Tomás Blanda, of Manual de Costes e Información de costes para la toma de decisiones empresariales (Gestión 2000); coordinator of the books Introducción a la contabilidad de la gestión: cálculo de costes and Contabilidad de gestión avanzada (MacGraw Hill); and co-author with Arturo Giner of the book Cálculo i Gestión Estratégica de Costes Portuarios; among other publications.

He is been the director of several national and international conferences, and he has conducted over thirty-five collaboration projects with industrial enterprises, as well as service and commercial, in order to set up cost systems, among them, the University of Valencia. In addition, he has also participated as guest speaker and professor in different conferences and scientific meetings.

Vicente Ripoll has also received the ACCID Award to the Prize for the Best Research Project in port and logistic field, granted in the 3rd edition of the Foundation Valenciaport Awards.

ACCID recognizes with this latest prize the activity on publications, research, educational innovation and teaching excellence of the professor doctor Vicente Ripoll, who has received the prize this Monday during an award ceremony that has been celebrated at the University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona.
