The Professional Integration and Employment Guidance Watch Centre –OPAL-, which is managed by Universitat de València’s General Foundation, opens the registration for the 2012-2013 free-elective courses. Up to twelve courses, worth one, two or three credits, are offered. This year, two of the courses will be taught on-line and with a blended learning approach, and also new this year, a course to work on the communicative skills and decision-making is offered.
The courses that can be worth one credit are: Competencias profesionales para un desempeño eficaz en el puesto de trabajo (Professional skills for an effective work performance); Estrategias para la inserción laboral: análisis curricular y procesos de selección (Strategies for employability: curricular analysis and selection processes); and Taller de vídeo currículum (video CV workshop).
The courses that can be worth two credits are: Competencias profesionales de los biólogos y bioquímicos (Biologiests and biochemist’s professional skills); El éxito de emprender (The success in entrepreneurship, online course); La cooperativa de trabajo asociado como fórmula jurídica para la autocupación colectiva (The worker cooperative enterprise as a legal formula for collective self-employment); La entrevista de selección de trabajo: formación para la adquisición de competencias (Job interview: training to achieve the required skills); Herramientas para la investigación de ocupación (Tools to employment research, blended approach course); and new this year, Habilidades de comunicación y toma de decisiones (Communication skills and decision-making).
Only the course on Manejo de situaciones difíciles: Counselling para la excelencia en la relación clínica (Handling difficult situations: Counselling to excel in the clinical relations) may be worth three credits.
