The Conselleria de Sanitat of the Valencian government recognised the research labour in health and biomedicine of 19 professionals, three of those are professors at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Universitat de València. The award-winners were Andrés Cervantes, Medicine professor and head of the Oncology Department of University Hospital; José Vicente Bagán, Stomatology full university professor; and Federico Pallardó, Physiology full university professor and dean of this faculty.
The ceremony for the awards took place on Monday at La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital in Valencia. This ceremony was attended by Manuel Llombart, Health Care Counsellor; Teresa de Rojas, Director-General for Planning, Evaluation, Research and Patient Care of the Valencian Department of Health; and professor Santiago Grisolía, who attended as the scientific committee president of these awards.
The scientific management of the research labour distinctions in health and biomedicine were in charge of a committee whose members valued the work of the professionals who develop their activity at centres and research foundations related to the Conselleria de Sanitat. At the same time, professionals with predominant activity in the care field who develop their work at centres of the Valencian public web were also taken into account.
