
Today, ceremony of Cermi.es 2013 Award in the category 'Institutional' at the University of Valencia.
The principal of the University of Valencia, Esteban Morcillo, will receive a commemorative figurine Cermi.es award from CERMI’s President, Luis Cayo Pérez Bueno.
Also attend the ceremony the Vice-Principal for Teaching Staff and Academic Planning, Maria Vicenta Mestre, and the director of the Unit for the Integration of People with Disabilities the General Foundation of the University of Valencia, Celeste Asensi, who will be accompanied by the professor Emiliano Borja, professor of criminal law at the University suffering vision problems caused by a congenital disease.
From the CERMI of Valencian Community will be present its president, Joan Planells; the Vice President, Alfonso Rodriguez, and Secretary General, Enrique Llin as well as representatives of other Valencian associations.
The jury for the Cermi.es awards agreed to grant the award in the 'Institutional' mode at the University of Valencia for "having taken decisively inclusive disability dimension in all university areas since attention to students with disabilities, the research, teaching and social responsibility."
The Cermi.es Awards, sponsored by Vodafone Spain Foundation, seek to recognize the initiatives, actions or work of individuals or institutions that have distinguished themselves in areas such as labour market inclusion, social and scientific research, universal accessibility or institutional level, in favour of persons with disabilities and their families.
