
The Universitat de València will officially open the academic year 2017-2018 tomorrow Friday, 8th September, in a ceremony that will take place at the Paranymph of La Nau. The event will start at 12:00. Classes will start the following Monday in all the degrees taught at the UV. The master lecture will be given by the full university professor Santiago Mas Coma. Mas Coma is the head of the Human Parasitic Disease Unit (Collaborating Centre of the WHO) and full university professor of the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology and Parasitology Department of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Universitat de València. The Master Lecture is entitled ‘Infectious diseases, the history of humanity and the current climate and global changes’.
The Principal Esteban Morcillo, the Councillor for Treasury and Economic Model, Vicent Soler and the General Secretary for Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, Juan María Vázquez Rojas will take part in the ceremony.
The general secretary of the UV, María José Añón, will read a summary of the Report of the academic year 2016/2017.
