Yesterday, Vociferio 2012, the scenic poetry festival of Valencia starts at La Nau. It is organized by Sala Carme Teatre, El Dorado-Activismo Cultural and the Universitat de València’s Aula de Poesía. This year the festival is having place at La Nau’s Capella de la Sapiència, where the (VOCI)Ferio de Ediciones Alternativas is going to be conducted; Sala Carme Teatre, where the scenic poetry performances are going to have place; Pub Bigornia, which is hosting the Krápula poetry sessions where all poets will be able to take part on Friday and Saturday night; and Teatro La Protectora, the place for the closing party which is going to be hosted by Josep Pedrals.
Vociferio is a festival conducted at a national level where every year many independent poets and publishers gather to share their work linking it to alternative ways of production and promotion of poetry.
Yesterday, performance. From today, verse reading at La Nau
Yesterday, June 7th, at 19:30, Capella de la Sapiència hosted an action art exhibition, which is a performance showing organized by SIMBERIFORA. The central days of the festival, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th are also having place in this space of La Nau.
During these two days, (VOCI) FERIO DE EDICIONES ALTERNATIVAS is going to be at La Nau through book presentations, recitals, publishing project presentations, exhibitions, and performances. There are going to be chats with artists and publishers ('El libro de objeto, alternativa al e-book', 'El ebook y la autoedición, alternativas a las editoriales' o 'El fanzine no ha muerto ¡Viva el fanzine!'). Many Valencian authors like Eddie (J. Bermúdez), Pedro Verdejo, Román PC or Begonya Pozo are going to present their books, and poets like Benito del Pliego, Pedro Montealegre, Alicia García Nuñez, Txus García or Sor Kampana are attending the event as well.
Both VOCIFerio de ediciones and Sala Carme Teatre are showing exhibitions such as 'Libros tendidos' by Victoria Cano; Colectivo Gestante (Candy Camuñas, Carolina Coppens, Aldo Alcota and Amparo Olmeda), and the Collages Toño fM. (author of VOCIFERIO 2012’s image).
