European Commission and European Paliment
Conference on Digital Transformation and Citizen Rights in the EU

On 30 November 2023, there will be a conference on Digital Tranformation and Citizen Rights in the European Union.

Activities like this are organised by the Jean Monnet Module and receive funding from the European Comission with the participation of the Universitat de València, UVsociety, the Diputation of Valencia, Caixa Popular and the town councils of Benetússer, Massamagrel, Paterna and Requena.

The Jean Monnet Module for citizen integration into EU democracy (101047164– CitEUdem) has received funding from the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Union in its 2021 call for proposals.

The Module aims to educate, research, create networks, publish and organise outreach activities that raise awareness about the political rights of European citizenship and how to exercise them.

The increase in the democratic participation of citizens has been a constant throughout the evolution of the European Union, which has run parallel to its progressive increase in competences as states have ceded sovereignty to it in areas increasingly distant from those that justified the creation of the European Communities in the middle of the last century.
