The Student Council Branch (AdR) of the Faculties of Geography and History, Philosophy and Education Sciences and Languages Studies, Translation and Communication want to invite you to the Week of Equality: “La mujer escondida: La mujer crea Universidad” (The hidden woman: Women create university). The objective of this activity is to give visibility to working women inside and outside the university.

The programme of activities opens with the presentation of the Week of Equality by Jordi Caparrós (coordinator of the Student Council Branch of the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication), Javier A. Sansalvador (Coordinator of the Student Council Branch of Philosophy and Education Sciences, Guillermo Chismol (member of the Governing Council) and Elena Navarro (coordinator of the Student Council Branch of Geography and History), on Tuesday 25 March at 17:30 at the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences. Later a workshop with the collaboration of the Poetry Club of the University of Valencia will be held. On 26 March, between 10:30 and 20:30, at the Manuel Ardit - Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Geography and History a day of lectures on the role of women in different social and professional areas will be held. On 27 March, at 12:30, the exhibiton “Las primeras profesoras de la Facultad de Filosofia y Letras” (The first women professors of the Faculty of Philosophy) will be opened at the hall of the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences. The closing ceremony of the Week of Equality will take place at the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication, first with a colloquium about the pioneer women at the University, with the participation of Isabel Morant, Carmen Aranegui, Trinidad Simón and Lola Bañon, at 17:00 at the Enric Valor room, and with the concert of the group ESIR at the auditorium of the Faculty at 20:30.

All these activities have been organised by the members of the Student Council Branch of the Faculties mentioned above.
