After the fratricidal fight between Eteocles and Polynices, Oedipus sons, Creon, new lord of the city, forbids burying under penalty of death the dead body of Polynices, so he remains as fodder for dogs and scavengers. Antígona (Antigone), despite her uncle’s prohibition, decides to bury his brother, even if it kills her... With such a complex masterpiece (Antígona), Sophocles invites reflexion, moderation and intelligence, virtues against which Creon and even Antigone acted
