Ravel’s Dreams

Ravel’s Dreams was born as an intimate and deeply personal exploration of the sound world of Maurice Ravel. Here, music becomes an open question in which a concern beats beneath the surface: what did Ravel dream of? What characters inhabited his imagination? What forms did his emotions, memory, and desire take?
In this programme, Ravel is placed in dialogue with Claude Debussy and Manuel de Falla—three composers of the same era whose musical languages are strikingly distinct. Debussy offers subtle harmonic freedom, while Falla brings rhythmic vitality and a style deeply rooted in folk tradition.
The 2025–2026 season also provides a particularly meaningful context: the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the births of Ravel and Falla.
