Ni una menos is a long-term project about gender violence and the women’s movements that fight for their rights.

I am documenting from Argentina this plague of violence in countries that are specially affected by it. I tell the stories of women who have suffered abuses, their families and the fight of social movements against it in order to protect the victims. Every 28 hours, a woman is murdered in Argentina. The feminist movement was born in 2015. Ni una menos is a protest movement that is fighting against gender violence in many different aspects and is spreading to other Latin American countries, and more recently, Europe and the United States.  The phenomenon of gender violence is so extensive that is a cross curricular subject: since the childhood to the adulthood, there is neither a social class nor particular conditions that are not affected by this phenomenon.  The situation in the poor neighbourhoods of the cities is particularly severe. There, crime rates are high and young people are in danger. The common line that sadly connects many countries is violence (domestic, psychological, physical and economic). I think it is important to raise awareness and give voice to the victims that no longer have it, inspiring more people to tell their stories and compel their governments.
