The Orfeón Universitario de València presents four choral works that will create very different environments and connections typical of our time. Thus, we can hear the strength of the American David Lang with If I am silent (2019), a work with a structural sense full of internal connections that reinforce the message of an overwhelming text. The Stabat mater (1986) by the Norwegian Nystedt, written with an amalgam of compositional resources and an eclectic treatment of this Latin text. Plainscapes (2002), by the Latvian Peteris Vasks, a work of environments that seeks to evoke the beauty of the plains of the Baltic country, which ends with the vision of the awakening to nature. The concert will close with the Concert for marimba and choir (2010), by the American composer Gene Koshinski, a display of virtuosity and quite rhythmic for all the performers.
