Orquestra de València
José Fabra Català, conductor

The Orquestra de València, directed by José Fabra Català, will perform an eminently French and Czech romantic program, full of melodicism and orchestral colour. It will begin with Georges Bizet's Symphony No. 1 in C major. Next, together with Jacobo Christensen on violin, they will play the Romanza in F minor for violin and orchestra, op. 11 by Antonín Dvorák, a beautiful, elegant work that requires extensive mastery of technique on the part of the soloist. The concert will end with Symphony No. 2 in E flat major by Charles Gounod, a composer who was a prominent symphonic influence on Bizet's score that opened the program.
During the performance, on their stands, the Orquestra de València will have the collaboration of a selection of young musicians from the Orquestra Filharmònica de la Universitat de València.
