Abstract
The processes linked to knowledge transfer have gained considerable strategic relevance in the business context and the implementation of quality management systems has experienced wide diffusion.
The work, focused on a qualitative methodology, is based on the case study of three SMEs based in the province of Valencia with a quality management system certified based on the ISO 9001 standard.
The results obtained have allowed us to design an induced model that, although broadly coincides with the preliminary theoretical model obtained from the literature review, has its own entity, grouping the factors involved in knowledge transfer into four categories: the characteristics of the consultant, the characteristics of the client company, the characteristics of the transferred knowledge and the relationship between the consultant and the client company.
