Members of ERI Lectura discuss in the media on the results of PISA 2018 on secondary students' reading habits in print and on screen

The recent OECD report (2021) 21st Century Readers: Developing Reading Skills in a Digital World, based on the results of the 2018 assessment carried out by the PISA international student assessment program, shows that students from High school students who indicated that they read mostly paper books obtained better results in the PISA 2018 reading comprehension test than those who indicated that they read mainly in digital format. Various media have echoed this information, and have counted on members of ERI Lectura to shed light on these results. Our postdoctoral researcher Pablo Delgado, in an article published by the newspaper El País, reviewed some of the results of the research carried out in our group on the influence of the reading medium on reading comprehension. In addition, the ERI coordinator, Ladislao Salmerón, was interviewed by the TVE newscast, a video that you can find below.
