Informational competences are a set of skills that allow people to recognise when information is needed, search it, manage it, evaluate it and communicate it properly.

The competences are skills necessary for learning through life and for the labour market.

  • A person trained in informational competences is able:
  • To find the information that needs
  • To analyse and select the information efficiently
  • To organise information appropriately
  • To use and communicates the information efficiently, ethically and legally
The acquisition of these competences is important for the new curriculum adapted to the EHEA, in which the library staff collaborates actively with the teaching staff of the UV.
