Presentation of the book "Incunables y postincunables valencianos" at the Biblioteca Històrica

The Biblioteca Històrica of the Universitat de València will host the presentation of the book Incunables y postincunables valencianos by Julián Martín Abad on March 27, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the Duc de Calàbria Room.

This work is a rigorous catalog of Valencian incunabula and post-incunabula, compiling the 220 known editions from this period. The arrival of the printing press in Valencia five and a half centuries ago marked a turning point in the dissemination of knowledge, and this volume provides a detailed overview of these early printed books, many of which are characterized by their rarity and limited preservation.

Julián Martín Abad's book is an essential tool for researchers and anyone interested in the history of books and written culture in Valencia during the 15th century and the early years of the 16th century. The book offers a thorough analysis based on reliable documentary sources, providing relevant data on the production and circulation of these first printed works.

The presentation event will feature the author, who will explain the research process and highlight key aspects of his study. Additionally, Marco Antonio Coronel Ramos, Professor of Latin Philology at the Universitat de València, and Cristina Tomás Martínez, Director of the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació, will also participate.

The UV Library and Documentation Service has organized two training sessions on the JoVE platform

The sessions will be held next Tuesday, March 25, online on the JoVE Science Education video platform for teaching and research, supported by UV.

The sessions will be held next Tuesday, March 25, online on the video platform for teaching and research JoVE Science Education, signed by the UV.

The training, titled "How to Create Engaging Classes with Videos," will be taught by platform specialists and is aimed at teaching and research staff in the fields of natural sciences, applied sciences, health sciences, and psychology.

The sessions will last approximately one hour and will be held in two shifts: one in the morning at 11 a.m. and another in the afternoon at 4 p.m.

The sessions will be recorded and the recordings will be sent to the registered people.
