Open Science Conference 2025
Next Friday, 24 October, the Open Science 2025 Conference will take place as part of International Open Access Week, which this year has the theme Who Owns Our Knowledge?
At the conference, introduced by Cristina Tomás, Director of the Library and Documentation Service, Carlos Hermenegildo, Vice-Chancellor for Research at the UV, will present the UV's Open Science Policy (in Valencian), approved on 7 October by the Governing Council. In addition, Beatriz Climent, Coordinator of the Open Science Commission, Joel González, Rector's Delegate for Strategic Research Actions, and Juan Pérez, Editor of the UV Publications Service, will also speak.
The conference will be held in the Assembly Hall of the Law Faculty, on Friday 24 October at 12:00 pm.

Practical implementation of the CoARA principles and commitments at ANECA
Within the framework of OAWeek 2025, the REBIUN Repositories Working Group is organizing the following activity:
Practical implementation of the CoARA principles and commitments at ANECA, led by Pilar Paneque, director of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA).
ANECA is actively participating in the transformation of research and academic career assessment within the framework of the CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment) agreement. This coalition, which has the common goal of reforming the methods and processes through which research is assessed and represents a paradigm shift in the assessment of science to maximize research quality and good scientific practices.
Date: Monday, October 20th
Time: 11:00 a.m. (Peninsular Time)
Duration: approximately one and a half hours, including Q&A.

Libraries closed from 9th to 12th October
The libraries of the Universitat de València, with the exception of Historical Library, will remain closed from 9 to 12 October.
They will resume their regular schedule on Monday, 13th October.

The six-years period campaing begins at University of Valencia
From 6th October until 2nd December, all PDI of the Universitat de València, regardless of their area of knowledge, can request in their library a report with the indications of quality of the publications that they have to submit to the call for six-years period. A maximum of seven references per application will be analysed, and if you wish to request more than one section, you must do so in separate applications (one for each section). For further information, please consult the SBD Accreditations and Six-Year Periods webpage.
The report is structured on the basis of the evaluation criteria implemented by ANECA, providing indications regarding the contribution, the means of dissemination and Open Science.
The Suport + Indicis service is offered free of charge, subject only to the availability of resources in the libraries. To request the report, the PDI has to fill in the following form:
