From the Assessment Plan and Improvement of the Academic Performance (PAMRA) the need of paying greater attention and the need of guiding new students soon became clear, in order to facilitate their integration in the university life. Hence the Tutorial Action Plan (PAT) born, focusing on the so-called transitional tutorials. These tutorials fit very well with the new models of education that have acquired importance with the creation of the European Higher Education Area, where the teaching staff have a guiding and facilitating role in the acquisition of competences. The assessment of PAT was carried out by the Quality Unit at the end of the academic year 2005-2006.
