Prof. Celestino Deleyto Alcalá, Professor at the University of Zaragoza, will be our guest lecturer at the module "Translating and adapting English literary texts: Ideology, culture and power” on March 11th. The title of his seminar is "Transnational Shakespeare: From Henry V to The King (David Michôd, 2019)”.

Celestino Deleyto is professor of film and English studies at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. He is the author of From Tinseltown to Bordertown: Los Angeles on Film (Wayne State University Press, 2016), The Secret Life of Romantic Comedy (Manchester University Press, 2009) and Alejandro González Iñárritu (University of Illinois Press, 2010) with María del Mar Azcona. He has published articles on film genre, romantic comedy, transnational cinema and cosmopolitan theory in Screen, Cinema Journal, PostScript, Film Criticism and Transnational Cinemas, among others. Deleyto is currently researching borders, transnational cinema and cosmopolitan theory. |
