Dr. Omar Blanco Arroyo is assistant professor at the Department of Applied Economics II (Estructura Econòmica), University of Valencia. He holds a PhD in Economics and Business by the University Jaume I (Castellón, Spain). His research interests are focused on the dynamics of large firms and their macroeconomic impact. His work has been published in Economics Letters and Mathematics and he has also participated in different competitive projects supported by the Valencian government.

Professor in the Department of Corporate Finance at the Faculty of Economics, University of Valencia. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the same university and completed the Pedagogical Adaptation Course (CAP), equivalent to a Master’s in Secondary Education Teaching, at the Complutense University of Madrid. He earned a PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Valencia, with a dissertation entitled “Asset Pricing in the Spanish and European Capital Markets”, awarded Cum Laude.

In teaching, I lecture on Finance in the Business Intelligence and Analytics degree programmes, as well as in the double degree in Business Administration and Management and Law. I also teach in the Master’s in Corporate Finance and the Master’s in Business Management (MBA). I have published over forty teaching papers, presented more than thirty conference papers, and participated in seventeen educational innovation projects. I lead the Consolidated Group for Teaching Innovation in Corporate Finance (GINFICO), and I am the author of two manuals and several book chapters —many published by Q1-ranked publishers according to SPI. I have received the Fernando Sapiña Award and the Best Teaching Innovation Paper award at the International Conference on Innovation, Documentation and Education.

In research, I lead the EFICO group (Sustainable Finance, Corporate Governance and Economics: https://www.uv.es/efico) and focus on Sustainable Finance, Corporate Governance and Board Gender Diversity, having also worked on Asset Pricing and the impact of the economic and industrial environment on financial decisions. I have participated as a speaker at more than forty prestigious international and national conferences, including: European Financial Management Association (EFMA), Global Innovation and Knowledge Academy (GIKA), Annual Conference ASFAAG: Academy of Sustainable Finance, Accounting, Accountability & Governance, EMAN Europe Conference: New Perspectives on Sustainability in the European Context, International Conference on Advanced Research Methods and Analytics (CARMA), International Congress of Accounting, Auditing and Finance - Sustainable Finance (ICAAF), International Scientific-Business Conference - Leadership, Innovation, Management and Economics; Integrated Politics of Research (LIMEN) and Spanish Finance Association (AEFIN), among others. Chair of the International Congress on Sustainability in Higher Education. I am a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Business Strategy & Development (indexed in Q1 according to JCR) and a member of the scientific committee of several international finance conferences.

In addition, I have participated in research contracts with the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE) and have been part of various research projects, including several transfer projects awarded by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI) within the framework of ‘Complementary actions to promote and strengthen innovation’. I have also collaborated on other transfer projects also awarded by the AVI in the line ‘Valorisation and transfer of research results to companies’.

[María Iborra is Associate Professor in Strategic Management at University of València (Spain), from which she holds her PhD. Her research interests are in the areas of strategic management: specifically the role of upper echelons on management and corporate governance of family and SMEs; CSR/CSI, values and culture are also key areas. She has published on these topics in different international journals and books]

Julia Olmos Peñuela is Professor at the Department of Business Management at the University of Valencia and researcher at INN4ALL, Innovation, Science and Society Research Group. Her research interests revolve around the processes of production and transfer of knowledge, innovation and university-industry relationships (or science-society interactions in its broad sense). She has been involved in several competitive projects and she is currently IP of a competitive project funded by the MInistry of Science and Innovation and of another funded by the Generalitat Valenciana. She has published in prestigious international journals such as Research Policy, Technovation, Science and Public Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Research Evaluation, Higher Education o European Planning Studies, among others. She has conducted several research stays in Canada (Laval University) and The Netherlands (University of Twente).
