Master's degree objectives

The Master’s Degree in History of Art and Visual Culture provides advanced training in the field of visual arts, through the academic specialisation in the analysis of art production and its processes of creation and reception over time and between different cultures.
It aims at preparing professionals with a deep understanding of the artistic heritage, being able to participate in its preservation, dissemination and social enjoyment, and to promote critical knowledge of the different contemporary art forms related to the image world.
This double academic and professional preparation is acquired through the knowledge of the research methodology which enables to undertake and develop and original research, focused on the preparation and defence of a doctoral thesis.
