Modern classrooms are used for the training activities, such as the “postgraduate” or the “seminar” rooms, both of them equipped with multimedia projection systems, interactive whiteboards and video conference; conventional classrooms; computer rooms; and laboratories. They have the following characteristics:

  • The postgraduate room is on the ground floor of the building. It has capacity for 45 people, with amenities like individual seats with a table for taking notes, platform for the professor, lighting control system, air conditioner, etc. It is equipped with projection and hearing systems, controlled by computer and projector lamp, Internet access either through cable or Wi-Fi system, and professional videoconferencing system.
  • The seminar room next to the previous one and it has capacity for 32 people. It is organised with movable desks in order to have different layouts: conventional, workgroup or seminar. It has lighting control system, air conditioner, etc. It is equipped with projection and hearing systems, controlled by computer and interactive whiteboard, Internet access either through cable or Wi-Fi system, and professional videoconferencing system.
  • The classrooms of the G.H building of the Faculty of Geography and History have capacity for 44 people. They have fixed desks, lighting control system, air conditioner, etc. They are equipped with projection and hearing systems controlled by computer, Internet access either through cable or Wi-Fi system.
  • “Art Workshop” Laboratories, where the artistic techniques are explored and “Analysis and diagnosis of works of art”, dedicated to analyse, preserve and restore works of art, and recently endowed with modern optical instruments through calls for teaching labs and Campus of Excellence.

The centre also has an Assembly Hall and a Conference Room, used for teaching assignments and other complementary activities of the postgraduate in History of Art, such as opening ceremonies, conferences, seminars, etc. There are also four computer rooms. There is open access to all the spaces mentioned except of the Art Workshop.

In addition, the Faculty has Wi-Fi throughout its range, as well as spaces for studying, as the study hall with capacity for 100 people and wireless Internet for laptops, which is located on the first floor. Furthermore, there are three workrooms with capacity for 16 seats each, network connection and a mobile classroom with 16 laptops. In these rooms, small groups of students can meet to do seminars and tutorials, or to organize their teamworks. The centre also has an open access computer room This whole group of open access spaces is located on the first floor of the center.

The programme offers the possibility of doing internships in many centres and institutions with programmes of training activities and adequacy of the material resources and available services.

Finally, students have access to services such as email, virtual office, virtual disk, blogs, forums..., and Virtual Classroom. In fact, all doctoral students are integrated into a community of Virtual Classroom, which facilitates communication and integration as a group.
