The questioning of an economic model which causes Nature’s death by asphyxiation due to overexploitation lies beneath the plastic activism that characterises the work of Luna Bengoechea. The concerns and complaints about the deceit of exponential growth and the depletion of natural resources are the evidence motivating a creative commitment that the artist would link, as visual dialectic, with the classic simplicity of Zurbarán or Sánchez Cotán. The naturally unsustainable appears now in the path of contemporary art.
