UVsports, in collaboration with UVdisability, proposes three sports workshops: goalball, tennis/wheelchair tennis and boccia. These activities are part of the University Conferences for Inclusion 2023, which will take place from 27 November to 1 December.

Under the slogan “we are equal, we are different,” the Universitat de València commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December. The University Conferences for Inclusion 2023 will take place from 27 November to 1 December. UVsports, in collaboration with UVdisability, organises three sports activities which do not require pre-registration.

On Wednesday 29, from 17:30 to 18:30, a Goalball workshop will take place in the University Pavilion Green Room of the Blasco Ibáñez Campus. This is a Paralympic team sport, created specifically for blind or partially sighted people, in which they must score in the opponents’ goal from their own field. To do this, they use a ball producing sounds and allowing the players to know their position on the field.

On Friday morning, from 10:00 to 13:00, a tennis and wheelchair tennis workshop will take place on court 9 of the Blasco Ibáñez Campus. On Friday evening, from 17:00 to 19:30 in the University Pavilion Blue Room, a Boccia workshop will take place. This is a sport similar to petanque, whose origins date back to Ancient Greece and which is also part of the Paralympic games.
