The Facultat de Psicologia i Logopèdia of the Universitat de València has obtained institutional accreditation following the decision adopted by the Spanish Council of Universities’ Commission for the Verification and Accreditation of Study Programmes at its meeting of 15 September 2026, approving the application submitted by the Universitat and formally granting institutional accreditation to the Faculty.

This recognition brings to completion a process developed over recent academic years and represents a particularly significant milestone for the Faculty. Together with the Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació, the Facultat de Psicologia i Logopèdia has become one of the first two centres of the Universitat de València to obtain institutional accreditation.

As a prerequisite, the process required an assessment of the implementation of the Faculty’s Internal Quality Assurance System (SAIQ). The favourable certification of its implementation by the Agència Valenciana d’Avaluació i Prospectiva (AVAP) was one of the conditions required before institutional accreditation could subsequently be requested. These are therefore two distinct but closely connected stages of the same process: first, certification of the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System and, subsequently, institutional accreditation of the Faculty.

The resolution of the Council of Universities confirms compliance with the requirements established for institutional accreditation and entails the effects laid down in the regulations governing the organisation of university education and quality assurance. The accreditation must be renewed before six years have elapsed from the date of the resolution.

Obtaining institutional accreditation is the result of a collective effort developed over recent years and of the involvement of teaching staff, technical, management and administrative and services staff, students, and the various committees, bodies and individuals involved in monitoring, evaluating and improving the Faculty’s degree programmes and its overall operation.

The Facultat de Psicologia i Logopèdia wishes to thank the entire university community for its contribution to this process. Institutional accreditation represents both recognition of the work carried out and a commitment to continuing to strengthen continuous improvement and the Faculty’s culture of quality.
