On April 22 at 12:00, the lecture “The Value of Early Intervention in the Neonatal Unit” will take place, delivered by Mili Matarazzo, from the Spanish Academy of Speech Therapy for Newborns and Infants. It will be held online.
Resumen: When we think about Early Intervention, we often forget that life in many infants begins in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The aim of this conference is to understand what it means to iniciate life in a hospital environment, an unfriendly context for the development of a human baby, and how early intervention therapists can contribute.
Bio: Mili Matarazzo, speech therapist and PhD in Medical and Health Sciences. IBCLC. She specialized in prematurity and NICU from 2014 to 2020, working as a researcher. Founder of the Spanish Academy of Speech Therapy for Newborns and Infants.
