The Valencian Society of Psychology has organised a tribute dinner for Escola Valenciana, which will take place on 18 June, at 8:30 p.m., at the restaurant of the Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània, in Carrer de Sant Ferran, Valencia.
The event aims to recognise Escola Valenciana’s long-standing work in promoting Valencian, defending language rights and fostering a public, inclusive, multilingual school system rooted in the local context. This recognition is also framed within the Valencian Society of Psychology’s interest in the relationship between language, education, personal development and social cohesion.
The Valencian Society of Psychology is a scientific and professional organisation devoted to promoting, reflecting on and disseminating psychology in the Valencian context. Among its activities, it publishes the Anuari de Psicologia de la Societat Valenciana de Psicologia, a scientific research journal first launched in 1994.
Escola Valenciana – Federació d’Associacions per la Llengua is a civic and social organisation made up of local and Valencian-wide associations working for the normalisation of Valencian and for the strengthening of a public, inclusive and high-quality school system. Its work brings together schools, teachers, families and activists in the defence of language rights and in the promotion of a more plural, diverse and cohesive society.
Reservations for the dinner can be made until 14 June. The price is 30 euros, and the details for booking and payment are included in the event poster.
