On Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, from 9:30 to 13:30, the workshop “Introduction to Structural Equation Modelling” will take place in room M204 (second floor, Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology). The session will be delivered in person by Prof. Arne Lervåg, Director of the Centre for Research on Equality in Education (CREATE) at the University of Oslo.

Abstract: In this workshop, Prof. Lervåg will explain the fundamentals of latent variables, Confirmatory Factor Analyses (CFA), and Structural Equation Models (SEM), using examples from different areas of psychology. In addition, the workshop will describe how to estimate simple CFAs and SEMs using Mplus. Participants will engage in hands-on practice with their own datasets or with datasets provided by the instructor. To this end, they must bring their laptop and have the Mplus demo version installed:
