Francesca Albanese, ONU special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, will participate in a conference which will be broadcasted simultaneously at more than 30 universities.
On 10 April at 12pm, Francesca Albanese, special rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territory, which has been occupied since 1967, will present an analysis of the situation in Gaza and the West Bank from the perspective of international law. Her presentation, as referent and expert on occupation conditions in Palestine, provide an opportunity to discuss ‘what to do and how to do it’, as members of the university community, in order to meet the moral, legal and political responsibility that each person and society must assume in the face of such a situation.
The activities programmed for the event at the Universitat de València are supported by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society, the Office of the Vice-Principal for Sustainability, Cooperation and Healthy Life and the Unesco Chair in Development. The conference will be complemented by three panel discussions at the Valencian university campuses: Burjassot Campus, Blasco Ibañez Campus and Tarongers Campus.

● 1:10pm – Panel discussion. With the participation of: Former Dean of the Faculty of Education in the Palestinian University in Gaza Dr Sabah Nassar, and Dr Rafael Xambó Olmos, from the Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at the UV.
● 2:00pm – Closing of the event.
Blasco Ibáñez Campus:
César Simón Boardroom, Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication (1st floor).
● 1:00pm – Presentation of the University Network for Palestine.
● 1:10pm – Panel discussion. With the participation of: Member of PV BDS Dr Jorge Ramos Tolosa, from the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of the UV.
● 2:00pm – Closing of the event.
Tarongers Campus:
