
The professor Gabriela Moriana,from the IUED, receives Presen Sáez de Descatllar award in its seventh edition
On Monday March 7th were held in the Miguel Hernández University of Elche the VIII Conference of the Coordination Center for Gender Studies of the Valencian Public Universities, dedicated this time to the analysis and discussion of new forms of leadership and political participation women, and chaired by professor Mrs. Juana Aznar Marquez, director of the Research Center for Gender Studies (CIEG) UMH.
During the ceremony he was awarded the Presen Sáez Award Descatllar in their mode of doctoral thesis, Ms. Gabriela Moriana, Professor of Social Work and director of the Master in Gender and Equality Policies, attached to the Institut Universitari d'Estudis of Dona (IUED) of the University of Valencia (UV). The title of his thesis is: Between exclusion and violence. Women institutionalized in women protection centers of Valencia. The award was made by the Vice Chancellor for Research at the University Miguel Hernandez, D. Manuel Vidal M. Jordan.
In addition, in the form of work to master, the Presen Sáez de Descatllar prize in its seventh edition was granted to Ms. Lucia Valls Mondragon: Construction of social imaginary, gender technology. Gandia Shore as a show of globalization and Ms. Amaya Fernandez Reguero: Analysis of the institutional response to violence against women. The case of the health sector in Morocco. The two have been awarded Masters students IUED of the University of Valencia.
