Enrol in our new educational degree: University Expert in Promotion and Optimization in the Development in Adolescence and Youth.
The Youth Chair is pleased to announce the new educational degree of University Expert in Promotion and Optimization in the Development in Adolescence and Youth. This degree, conducted by the members of the Chair Paz Viguer Seguí and Alicia Sara García Peris, is designed to give the students an updated and contextualised insight in adolescence and youth, addressing the biological, psychological, mental and social aspects of the development of young people.
This program will allow participants to make use of analysis, intervention and evaluation tools, directly linked to the methodological framework of socio-educational accompaniment. It consists of seven parts:
- Conceptual introduction about adolescence and youth and working with young people.
- Biosocial changes in adolescents and young people and intervention strategies.
- Changes in the way of thinking, cognition, and moral reasoning in adolescents and young people and intervention strategies.
- Affective and psychosexual changes in adolescents and young people and intervention strategies.
- Biosocial changes in adolescents and young people and intervention strategies.
- Development optimization in adolescents and young people.
- Socio-educational work with adolescents and youth: foundations of intervention.
It is addressed to holders of a degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, Sociology, Social Work, Social Education or Elementary Education, and professionals with experience in intervention with adolescents and young people. Allowing the participation of holders of other degrees who can certify professional experience with adolescents and young people will be considered. Likewise, students who have left 10 % of their credits to finish their degree will be allowed to participate, only if the complete their studies during that same academic year.
The degree will be carried out with a blended methodology. It will combine the flexibility of online learning with three on-site sessions that will allow a direct contact with the teaching staff and other participants. This certificate will help you improve you abilities and broaden you professional perspectives.
The teaching staff is formed by more than 20 experts in the topic from different sectors such as academia, psychology, local administration or consulting.
The pre-registrations are open until the 20 October 2024 and the sessions will take place between January and April 2025.
