It was aimed at young people aged between 12 and 16 in the neighbourhood of “La Plata”. It is located in the Quatre Carreres district, in Valencia.
- Final Degree Project’s title: “Socio-educational programme of social participation through artistic mediation”.
- Winner: Carla Murillo Grifo
- Supervisor: Fernando Martínez García
The proposal for this final degree project stems from re-inhabiting public spaces through artistic mediation as a tool for collective and educational participation, while at the same time encouraging people to generate a participatory context in which they can develop themselves.
An approach through participant observation and using the action of drifting is made both to the population that lives in this specific context and to the possibilities that its public spaces can offer for artistic and socio-educational intervention. It is extended that looking is already interpreting a certain reality and walking can give a more localised vision of the starting point.
It is understood that knowing the neighbourhood is essential for the realisation of this project, which is why we have the collaboration of the Taleia Young People Centre. This is where the Practicum II is being carried out during the 2022-2023 academic year, as well as the participation of the group selected for the final degree’s project.
