The Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia will be the scenery, this Thursday, 31 January, of the homage to Adolfo Benages, Full University Professor of Medicine, who died last month of September in Valencia. The act will start at 19:00, with the attendance of the Principal, Esteban Morcillo. The Full University Professor , Carmen Leal, will coordinate the session.
Adolfo Benages Martínez was Full University Professor of Medicine and Head of the Gastroenterology Service of the Hospital Clinic. Born in Valencia in 1942, he graduated in 1942. He pioneered therapeutic practices currently followed in the field of gastrointestinal motility. He published more than four hundred scientific papers.
A good-natured and a man on the left always defended public service health. In 1997 he entered the Royal Academy of Medicine of the Valencian Country.
