The Degree in Pharmacy aims to produce professionals who are experts in medication and its impact on health. The training acquired includes a knowledge of medicines and the substances used in their making; pharmaceutical technology and also physical, chemical, biological and microbiological medical trials; metabolism and the effects of medication, as well as its use and legal requisites.
This degree allows graduates to work as pharmacists, according to Spanish and European laws.
Prior knowledge of biology and chemistry is essential to study Pharmacy, and the same is to be recommended as regards physics and mathematics.
The Degree in Pharmacy has been updated by introducing new contents in Diet Therapy, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Attention, and Scientific Documentation and Methodology.
The optional subjects are grouped into three intensifications related careers most in demand: Community Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy and Clinical Training.
