The tenth edition of the Scientific Entrepreneurial National Congress is expected to be held from 17 to 19 November at ADEIT and to reinforce the importance of the Comunitat Valenciana in science, transfer, and innovation. With more than fourteen years of trajectory, this congress became established as a space of reference for researchers, start-ups, spin-offs, investors, universities, hospitals, research centres and professionals on knowledge transfer.

This November, the city of Valencia will once again host one of the most relevant conferences in the Spanish innovation ecosystem. The tenth edition of the Scientific Entrepreneurial National Congress will be held the days 17, 18 and 19 November at the Fundació ADEIT, with the organisation of the Fundación DRO, the Universitat de València, the Fundació ADEIT and the Botin Foundation. This date signifies a return to Valencia where the first edition took place in 2012.

The 2026 Valencian edition wants to focus on the ability of the Comunitat Valenciana to turn research into business, attract specialised investment and generate an ecosystem each time more solid based around knowledge transfer.

The aim of the congress is to be the main meeting point for entrepreneur scientists, investors, start-ups and their innovation ecosystem with the objective of give visibility to scientific and technological based companies and to encourage more researchers to take the step towards entrepreneurship.

In other big news, this edition includes the I Communication Transfer and Scientific Entrepreneurship Call, the first official call for oral communications and posters in the history of the congress.

The call is open to researchers, entrepreneurs, spin-offs, start-ups, hospitals, universities, science parks, OTRI/OTC, accelerators and investors, and wants to be a meeting point for real experiences of transfer, patents, licences, company creation, funding, and learning emerged from unsuccessful processes. The deadline is 20 September 2026.

The Valencian context reinforces even more the interest in this edition. In the Rei Jaume I 2025 prizes, two profiles related to the Comunitat Valenciana won the spotlight: Ángela Pérez and Damià Tormo received the Business Revelation prize. Moreover, the congress itself has Damià Tormo as one of its remarkable speakers in the 2026 edition, which allows the linking of the meeting with some of the most visible names of the scientific and entrepreneur talent associated to the Comunitat.

From Valencia, the congress wants to portray an image of an innovative, open, connected, and ambitious community, capable of gathering researchers, universities, companies, sources, transfer offices and public and private agents in a same space. The programme will address strategic issues such as the path from the laboratory to the market, the protection of results, the funding of entrepreneur science, applied artificial intelligence and the creation of new opportunities out of knowledge.

The celebration of this tenth edition in the city where the congress was born reinforces the role of Valencia as a meeting point among science, company and investment, in a time when the Comunitat Valenciana wins once again national visibility for the quality of its research and entrepreneur ecosystem.
