Introduction to the Career Advancement-Practical Training of Graduates in Companies Programme

The Career Advancement programme is aimed at graduates of the University of Valencia who want to come into contact with the professional environment through a paid internship training, which allows them to put in practice the knowledge acquired during their university studies.

The people who want to participate must have a degree or master's certificate in the University of Valencia from the last three years and be under 30 years of age, as well as, companies and institutions from anywhere in the Spanish territory interested in incorporating young university talent.

Besides the practical professional experience offered by the contributor entity, the programme includes, through Fundació ADEIT, online training in transversal competences, oriented to reinforce abilities highly valued in the professional field.

Characteristics of the programme

Minimum duration of 6 moths (renewable for another semester).
Schedule from Monday to Friday.
Deadline for submission of offers is open all year.
The contributor entity will cover the cost of the training programme.
The contributor entity will name someone from their team with experience in the subject of the offer to mentor the programme beneficiary. Furthermore, the graduate will receive academic tutoring from the University of Valencia.

Training in competences

The programme offers theoretical training in transversal competences taught by ADEIT and supplementary to the internship, which the beneficiaries do online.

This training in competences is essential to guarantee personal and professional success. In fact, these abilities, which can be applied in various contexts, allow graduates to ideally incorporate and to adapt to any entity or company.

Publicació de les ofertes i difusió.
Enviament de candidatures a l’empresa per a realitzar el procés de selecció.
Alta i baixa en Seguretat Social de les persones participants, amb cobertura en cas d’accident o malaltia.
Facturació a l’entitat col·laboradora de l’import del programa a l’inici de la formació i gestió dels pagaments mensuals a la persona seleccionada.

Objectives of the programme

To facilitate the employability and to incorporate to the professional exercise of recent graduates via a process of acquisition of competences, which enables them to put into practice the knowledge learned in their studies.

Where can I do the practical training?

In any company and institution of the Spanish territory. If in the "Offers" section there are no suitable offers for your profile, you can always suggest a company yourself.

Selection process

Your candidacy will be sent to the company, as long as the requirements are met. The company will be responsible for the selection process.

if you are selected, you will be contacted in order to formalise your incorporation.

Gain training in competences

At the same time as your practical training in the company you will receive, through ADEIT, theoretical training online in transversal competences, highly valued abilities by the employers and essential for professional success.

Duration

Practical training in the company lasts 6 months, which can be renewed for another semester. The maximum cumulative duration is 12 months.

Who can participate in this programme?

In this programme anyone who meets the required profile can apply as long as they are under 30 years of age and have studied at the University of Valencia in the last 3 years the university studies required, a degree or a master's degree.

I do not have Spanish citizenship; can I participate?

If you are not a citizen of the European Union, you can participate as long as you have valid residence permit at the start of the practical training and for a period of minimum 6 months.

If I have studied my degree at another university; can I enrol myself in a call?

No, this programme is exclusively aimed at graduates who have studied a degree or a master's degree at the University of Valencia. Not associated centres with the University of Valencia.

If I am student of the University of Valencia; can I participate in the programme?

No, you can only do it once you have completed your degree or master's degree studies and have the accreditation for it.

Is this practical training paid?

Yes, always. When consulting the available offers, among the characteristics, you will find the biannual monetary award you are expected to receive.

Is social security paid for during practical training?

ADEIT pays for illnesses, accidents, and pensions, as stipulated in the 1493/2011 Royal decree.

What documentation is required before my incorporation?

If you are chosen to start a practical training, you must provide: a certificate with the credits and average mark of your degree or master's degree which can be requested via the virtual office of the UV, the certificate of the degree studied at the UV or a document justifying your application, a copy of your DNI and of your NUSS, and the IBAN number of your bank account.
