An application for Valencia’s World Design Capital. As part of the IX Workshop on Valencian Economy by Nexe, held at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Valencia.
The Workshops on Valencian Economy aim to maintain the debate on these topics between the business, institutional, and academic worlds. Professionals from all three areas will share ideas, opinions, and actions that invite attendees to reflect and look ahead. At the same time, we once again call upon and encourage specialists, academics, and young researchers, who will need to face the coming changes with greater determination and direct participation, to present papers and take part in the conference, presenting them and publishing in the proceedings that will be edited later.
It is in this context that the researcher and member of Econcult, Fernando Álvarez, explained the model of Input-Output Tables for the Valencian Community in 2019, as well as its application for Valencia's World Design Capital.
The Input-Output Tables are a synthesis statistic derived from the Supply and Use Tables, offering a comprehensive description of the production process and the balance between resources and uses in the economy, at the product level for homogeneous activity sectors.
