MESOC meets with Bernd Fessel

As part of the Final Event of the MESOC project on 9 March in Paris, Bernd Fessel, economist, philosopher and currently CEO of EIT Culture & Creativity, gave a keynote speech.

Bernd Fessel presented at the Final Event the new project "Creatives without borders. Innovation without limits" (EIT Culture & Creativity), promoted by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). This project starts in 2023 and aims at diversity through the inclusion of different cultural and creative organisations, openness, collaboration and working together.

The project is structured in strategic objectives and action programmes. The five strategic objectives are education, innovation, creation, society and system. Within education, the aim is to train students as well as professionals in the cultural sectors through educational programmes; in innovation, the aim is to promote the ecological, social and digital transition; through creation, the aim is to create both public and private value and to create opportunities and solutions of an innovative nature; the objective of society seeks the sustainability and well-being of the different communities through social cohesion, and through the last objective, to consolidate an innovation system at European level that enhances the cultural and creative sectors.

The project MESOC has as founding partners companies and projects such as the European Cultural Foundation, Organisation for European Programmes and Cultural Relations, Ars Electronica, Creative Tech, Creative UK, Public Art Lab, eureca!, Industry Commons, and universities such as the Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.
