Pau Rausell and Jordi Sanjuán have contributed to the preparation of the "Report on the situation of culture in Spain 2023". This report provides detailed information and highlights the participation of Spanish cultural industries within the framework of the European Union, providing relevant data and making their presence visible in this context.

Today, the 2023 edition of the "Report on the State of Culture in Spain" (ICE) is presented, which provides data and makes visible the presence of the cultural industries of our country in the whole of the EU, as well as highlighting Spanish creation in the different areas of culture, as well as market figures and its expansion in the digital economy. Specifically, this is the tenth edition of the ICE report that since 2011 has allowed us to study in depth different aspects and cultural problems and will be presented in an event organized by the Fundación Alternativas at the Headquarters of the European Commission in Spain at 4:30 p.m.

The members of Econcult Pau Rausell-K'ster and Jordi Sanju'n Belda participated in the writing of this document, with the contribution of an article under the title "The social impact of culture in Europe. Recent contributions". These pages show through causal machine learning techniques, what sounds the positive impacts of cultural and creative sectors in various dimensions of well-being, including income, employment, education and health, both in Europe and in the Spanish regions, underlining the potential of culture and creativity in regional development and citizen welfare in the European Union.
