The MESOC project, or "Measuring the Social Dimension of Culture" in English, is a research project that aims to develop a comprehensive and standardised measurement framework for cultural participation and engagement.
The project is led by the Joint Research Centre of the European Union and counts with the collaboration of several academic and cultural organisations, including the Economics of Culture and Tourism Research Unit (Econcult) of the Universitat de València led by economist Pau Rausell Köster.
The next event developed by this project will be held in Paris on 9 and 10 March 2023, and aims to showcase the novel methodologies used, such as artificial intelligence to support effective and inclusive policies and institutional frameworks, which go beyond economic impact. It also aims to consolidate a community of practice committed to the creative transformation of society.
On the first day, Pau Rausell Köster will begin with some introductory remarks together with other speakers, before the start of the presentations. Subsequently, he himself will talk about his convergent model based on panel insights. In addition, he also focuses on people's health and well-being, urban renewal and regeneration, and citizen participation.
