On Friday, 20 January 2026, from 12:00 to 14:00, Room 2p02 of the Department of Applied Economics hosts the seminar “Cultural Facilities / Indicators”, a session focused on the analysis of measurement and evaluation tools for cultural infrastructures. The activity is supported by the Espacios Chair for Culture, Creativity and Innovation (ESPACIOS) and is part of its lines of work aimed at generating knowledge to inform cultural policy.
The Ministry of Culture launches, through Econcult, ESPACIOS. For Culture, Creativity and Innovation, an initiative designed to strengthen cultural spaces across Spain by providing knowledge and innovation tools that enable fairer and more effective decision-making. The project, led by Pau Rausell and developed by the University of Valencia through Econcult (Research Unit in Cultural and Tourism Economics at the University of Valencia), focuses on generating knowledge on infrastructures, spaces and facilities dedicated to culture, creativity and innovation.
Associate Professor of Applied Economics (UV) and Director of Econcult. Specialist in cultural economics and socio-economic impact analysis.
Professor in Applied Economics with expertise in quantitative methods and Big Data. Works on socio-economic indicators and data construction.
Member of Econcult and Culturalink. Develops cultural evaluation methodologies and projects linking culture, city and innovation.
Technical member of Econcult (UV). Contributes to analytical and applied research support tasks.
The session provides an academic forum to discuss the indicators needed to understand the role of cultural facilities within creative ecosystems and to strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
Through initiatives such as this seminar, the Espacios Chair reinforces its role as a bridge between data, technology and the cultural community, contributing to more informed management and territorially oriented cultural development.
