The railway, just like roads, is an essential element to understand the history of spatial organisation in a society, its territory quality, its flux of people and resources, its territory policies and its relations with other cities and mnicipalities.

This vision lead us to observe and reflect on a territory marked by its communication channeling, the Valencia-Madrid AVE, a line and transportation system that overlaps in time with other taveling methods and is related to the history of societies throughout centuries.

This is the aim of the book AVE Valencia-Madrid. Diálogos sobre el territorio y escenas desde el tren, to showcase the history of the territory the AVE passengers cross hastily. A reading of the scenery in a global history and temporality.
