The Chair has been built from inside of the university sphere thus the teaching and training of new researchers being a key part of its activities. Since its creation, there have been courses, seminars and conferences in the Universitat de València and in other universities and institutions.
The Chair has organised workshops, conferences and forums on various themes to exchange and disseminate knowledge on the history of transport and public work. There are four workshops worth highlighting carried out in 2013, 2017, 2019 and 2021 titled 'Workshop de estudios interdisciplinares en la historia de la obra pública', (Interdisciplinary Studies Workshop on the History of Public Works) which were dedicated to 'Fotografía y obra pública' (Photography and public work), 'Ingeniería y ciudad' (Engineering and the city), 'Arcos y conductos' (Arches and ducts) and 'Germanías e infraestructuras' (Brotherhoods and infrastructures), respectively. It is also worth mentioning another two conferences carried out in Alicante and València in 2014, both titled '30 años construyendo puentes. Técnica e innovación' (30 years building bridges. Technique and innovation) and others further away in time (2005 and 2006) dedicated to the museums of sciences and technique, and to the metropolitan transport of Alicante.
