The year 2004 saw the creation of the Demetrio Ribes Award for Research, which aims to promote research work on history, past and present, through different scientific disciplines. It intends to promote and disseminate the history of transport and public work in the Valencian Community, thus supporting researchers and awarding their commitment to Valencian history and heritage.

Information for potential applicants: the call for applications usually happens between May and July each year, with a submission date of up to mid-November. The rules remain largely the same for each edition and are published on this website.

The Demetrio Ribes Award for Research will not be convened in 2025 due to lack of funding. In the event that this situation is reversed, we will inform you through the website. We apologise for the inconvenience.
