Miguel Ángel Villacorta Hernández has been awarded the 18th Demetrio Ribes Award thanks to his paper 'Estructura organizativa y contable de la empresa más importante de España y la décima de Europa: la Compañía de los Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España (Norte)' [Organisational and Accounting sStructure of the Most Important Company in Spain and the Tenth Largest in Europe: Compañía de los Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España (North)].
The evaluation committee of the 18th edition of the Demetrio Ribes Award for Research, chosen by the Vice-rectorate for Transfer and Innovation of the Universitat de València, met the past 20 October 2022 to chose the winner of the award.
In this occasion, the jury consisted of the following members:
- Inmaculada Aguilar Civera, professor of the department of Art History and honorary director of the Demetrio Ribes Chair, Universitat de València.
- José Vicente Benadero García Morato, boarding member of the Demarcación de Valencia of the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos.
- Vicent Esteban Chapapría, professor of the Department of Transport Infrastructure and Engineering of the UPV.
- Dolores Romero Muñoz, director of the CEHOPU-CEDEXC programme, Centre for Historical Studies of Public Works and Urbanism, CEHOPU, Centre for Studies and Experimentation of Public Works.
- Adrià Besó Ros, full professor of the Department of Art History of the Universitat de València.
Luis Arciniega García, director of the Demetrio Ribes Chair was the moderator and president of the committee without a vote.
