1. General Information

The AlumniUV Program of the Universitat de València is managed by the Fundació General de la Universitat de València (FGUV), by virtue of the commission carried out in its favor by the Universitat de València.

In compliance with the provisions of article 10 of Law 34/2002, of July 11, on services of the information society and electronic commerce (hereinafter, LSSICE), the General Foundation of the University of Valencia (from now on FGUV) is the owner of the website http://www.fundaciouv.es/alumniuv

2. Purpose and scope of application

These Conditions of Use govern the access and use, by users, of the website http://www.fundaciouv.es/alumniuv  . By accepting these Conditions of Use, the user declares:

That you have read and understood what is stated here.
That he is a person with sufficient capacity to contract.
That he assumes all the obligations established here.

The use of the web page http://www.fundaciouv.es/alumniuv   (hereinafter, the AlumniUV web page) and the registration in it, attributes the condition of user of the web page and implies the acceptance of all the Provisions included in these Conditions of Use, and which will be available to users at any time they access the AlumniUV website. Consequently, the User must carefully read these Conditions of Use.

The FGUV, through the AlumniUV website, reserves the right to make any modification or update of the contents and services of these Conditions of Use and, in general, of all the elements that make up the design and configuration of the website. , by means of communication to registered users.

 

3. Access and registration

Access to the AlumniUV website is free, except for the cost of connecting the user to the telecommunications network provided by the access provider contracted by the user.

In general, to access the contents of the website, the registration of the user will not be necessary.

However, to be part of the AlumniUV collective, prior registration is required in the "I WANT TO BE ALUMNIUV" section and implies prior acceptance of these Conditions of Use and the AlumniUV Privacy Policy before registering.

The user must upload the supporting documentation to their AlumniUV Space. The data provided by the user will be processed by the FGUV in accordance with the provisions of the AlumniUV Privacy Policy.

The user who registers will receive a registration confirmation email indicating that the registration has been carried out correctly.

The already registered user can access their AlumniUV Space in the "ENTER" section with their email and password to be able to consult and update their profile, check their status, stop being part of the AlumniUV Community, etc.

 

4. Users

The data entered by the user must be accurate, current and truthful at all times. In case of intentionally providing false data and in particular providing a false identity, it will be considered a violation of these Conditions of Use, which may result in the immediate blocking of the user's account and the claim of any damages that may have been caused. the inaccuracy of said data. In no case, the user may register another person without proper authorization.

The registered user will be responsible, at all times, for the custody of their password, thus assuming any damages that may arise from its improper use, as well as from the transfer, disclosure or loss of it. For these purposes, access to the private area of ​​the AlumniUV website under the password of a registered user will be deemed to have been made by said registered user, who will be responsible in all cases for said access and use.

By virtue of the above, it is the obligation of the user to immediately notify the General Foundation of the University of Valencia (alumniuv@uv.es) of any fact that allows the improper use of the password, such as theft, loss, or unauthorized access to them, in order to proceed to their immediate cancellation.

As long as such facts are not communicated, the General Foundation of the University of Valencia will be exempt from any liability that may arise from the improper use of the password by unauthorized third parties.

 

5. AlumniUV modalities, fees and documentation to provide

The types of users that may be part of the AlumniUV Community are listed below and that must be indicated in the registration process.

AlumniUV Basic
AlumniUV Premium
 

The AlumniUV Basic modality is free and does not have a card.

The following fees apply to the AlumniUV Premium modality:
 

General fee:

The general fee is 42 euros

The documentation to be provided through the AlumniUV Space is as follows:

• Fill in the form with personal data
• Upload a copy of the DNI or equivalent document to the AlumniUV Space.
• Upload to the AlumniUV Space a photo in jpg format (in color, white background, face, front and without sunglasses or other elements such as caps, hats, etc). The size must be less than 500 Kb.
• If the fee is paid by bank transfer, the corresponding receipt must be uploaded to the AlumniUV Space.

 

Quota for newly graduated people:

Newly graduates will be considered those students who have recently completed Bachelor's studies, Official Postgraduate Master's degrees from the University of Valencia and Adeit's own Postgraduate Programs. (Example: If we are in 2020, it would be newly graduated people who have the title dated 2019)

 

The fee for recent graduates from the University of Valencia will be free for one year. The second year will be 21 euros and the third year will be 42 euros.

You will not be able to access the 21 euro fee if you have not enjoyed a first year of free membership.
The Nau Gran diploma will not be valid to access the free quota.
The documentation to be provided through the AlumniUV Space is as follows:

• Fill in the form with personal data
• Upload to the AlumniUV Space a copy of the DNI or equivalent document
• Upload to the AlumniUV Space a photo in jpg format (in color, white background, face, front and without sunglasses or other elements such as caps, hats, etc). The size must be less than 500 Kb.
• Upload documentation to the AlumniUV Space that proves the status of a newly graduated person (title or deposit of title)
Newly graduates will have to verify that they do not have an active card at the University of Valencia. If so, they will have to cancel it at the corresponding faculty secretary.

 

Reduced fee:

The reduced AlumniUV fee is 32 euros.

It applies to the following groups:

People equal to or older than 65 years.
Pre-retired or retired people.
People with a disability equal to or greater than 33%
People in unemployment situation.
People who are part of a large family
The documentation to be provided through the AlumniUV Space is as follows:

• Fill in the form with personal data
• Upload to the AlumniUV Space a copy of the DNI or equivalent document
• Upload to the AlumniUV Space a photo in jpg format (in color, white background, face, front and without sunglasses or other elements such as caps, hats, etc). The size must be less than 500 Kb.
• If the fee is paid by bank transfer, the corresponding receipt must be uploaded.
In addition to the general documentation, the following complementary documentation will be provided through the AlumniUV Space:

a) People who are currently 65 or older will upload their ID or equivalent document to their AlumniUV Space (they only need to present it once).

b) People who are pre-retired or retired, will upload to their AlumniUV Space the documentation that proves it (they will only need to present it once)

c) Unemployed people will upload to their AlumniUV Space the certificate of employment status with the updated date

d) People with disabilities will upload to their AlumniUV Space the document that shows that their degree of disability is equal to or greater than 33% (they will only need to present it once).

e) People who are part of a large family will present the document that proves their condition (they will only need to present it once)
The maximum time to provide the documentation is as follows:

For new registrations: at the time of providing the rest of the documentation related to the registration.

For active members: within fifteen days after the payment notice.

 

6. Payment

The AlumniUV Community fees are annual and count from the date of enrollment per calendar year and not per academic year. Each AlumniUV will renew their quota depending on the day on which they made the payment. Thus, a fee paid on May 15, 2019 will be renewed before the same date in 2020.

Payment methods

The payment of the fee can be made through the following payment methods:

• Initial registration with a bank card
During the registration process in the "Payment" section, payment of the fee will be made by bank card. The initial payment can also be made by bank transfer and the user must upload proof of the transfer to their AlumniUV Space.

The user will receive an email indicating that the payment has been made correctly, at which time the registration will be formalized and the next installment will count within one year.

From the AlumniUV Space, the user can indicate that the next installment be paid by filling in the direct debit model enabled for this purpose in the AlumniUV Space (Bank mandate)

• Renewal of the fee
The payment of the renewal of the fee will be made from the AlumniUV Space through the following forms of payment:

1. Direct debit: This payment method can only be used from the first year and previously completing the mandate
2. Bank transfer: if payment by bank transfer is chosen, the full name of the card holder must be indicated in the concept as well as the account holder's data.
3. Cash: the fee can be paid in cash at the AlumniUV offices.
4. Bank card: the fee can be paid with a bank card at the AlumniUV offices and through the AlumniUV App.
When the payment is completed correctly, the user will receive an email indicating that they have been registered in their AlumniUV Space.

 

7. Stop being AlumniUV Premium i / o Basic

• A Premium AlumniUV may request to switch to Basic AlumniUV and stop paying the annual fee. You can also stop being part of the AlumniUV Community.

• A Basic AlumniUV may request to stop being part of the AlumniUV Community whenever they wish.

To make these changes, the user must access their "AlumniUV Space" and identify themselves with their username and password.
 

To avoid the collection of the annual fee if it were domiciled, the request must be made before the 25th day of the month prior to the renewal date, since once the payment has been made, the amount will not be able to be refunded.

A refund of the fee will not be accepted. If the person did not notify their desire to renew on the aforementioned date and returns the fee, it will remain unpaid. If in the future, the person wants to become part of the UV Alumni Community, they will have to pay the fee for the current year and the one they left unpaid.

Regardless of the chosen payment method, AlumniUV will send a reminder via email and SMS informing them of the next payment date, specifying the maximum term to pay the fee. If during this time the payment of the fee has not been made, the user will cease to be AlumniUV Premium and will become AlumniUV Basic.

 

8. Withdrawal

The user may exercise the right of withdrawal within a period of 14 calendar days from the date of registration in the AlumniUV application.

How to withdraw:

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the user will have to notify his decision to withdraw from the contract through the AlumniUV Space - Withdrawal option

To meet the withdrawal period, it is enough that the communication regarding the exercise of withdrawal is sent before the corresponding period expires.

In case of withdrawal, the FGUV will return all payments received without undue delay and, in any case, within a maximum period of 14 calendar days from the date on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract through AlumniUV Space - Withdrawal option

Said refund will be made using the same means of payment used by the user for the initial transaction. In any case, the user will not incur any expense as a result of the refund, except in the case of the commission for making a transfer in their favor, a commission that will be deducted from the final amount to be returned

 

9. Year of seniority as AlumniUV Premium

A Premium AlumniUV can access all the advantages from the moment they have the card that accredits them as a member of the AlumniUV Community without having to keep any lack of seniority.

An exception are La Nau dels Xiquets i les Xiquetes, the Language Center of the University of Valencia and the University Extension Service that have a one-year gap in the AlumniUV Community.

The grace period requested to access these three services will not be applied in the case of people who enroll in AlumniUV as recent graduates from the University of Valencia. Documentation that proves the aforementioned academic link will have to be submitted.

For the Nau dels Xiquets i les Xiquetes, in order to benefit from the registration discount, the AlumniUV Premium must be registered in the AlumniUV Community before July 31 of the previous year.

 

10. Collection of the AlumniUV card

As of November 28, 2022, physical cards will not be issued for the AlumniUV Community with the Premium subscription and they will go to the virtual format.
The virtual card is accessible from:

* The UV Mobile APP
* cuentas.uv.es ("see my university card")
* virtual secretariat (general menu, "consult *card")

Through these three channels, the virtual card can be used to borrow books from the library, or access shifts at the Sports Service, using the barcode on the back. It can also be displayed to access special discounts.

To view the virtual card you must use the email account of the University. This was automatically activated when the card was requested. You must use the same username and password and if you do not remember, write an email (alumniuv@uv.es) or call the Alumni Office (96 353 10 70)

The physical cards will be valid until they expire. The replacement of damaged or lost cards will only be in virtual format.

If the AlumniUV needs some type of certificate that shows that it belongs to the AlumniUV Community, it can be requested at alumniuv@uv.es

 

11. Sending of Information

AlumniUV information will be sent through the biweekly electronic newsletter, if the user has expressly accepted it.

To be part of the AlumniUV Community, you must provide an email account, which will be used as a communication channel for the different shipments.

If the AlumniUV Basic modality has been chosen, information of interest will be received from the AlumniUV collective, its own activities and all the information sent by the University of Valencia that is created of interest to the AlumniUV.

If the AlumniUV Premium modality has been chosen, in addition to sending information about AlumniUV activities and all the information sent by the University of Valencia, it will be used as a communication channel for reminders of the payment of fees, notifications in the change of subscription, etc.

In the case of wanting to update the data and not being able to do so from the new web application, the member agrees to notify AlumniUV of any changes that are necessary so that the data can be updated.

 

12. Image Rights

The FGUV reserves the right to use the images and recordings of the activities carried out within the framework of AlumniUV for public dissemination, on any paper or digital medium, in audiovisual and multimedia media, including making them available to the public in the web spaces and social networks of the FGUV and / or University of Valencia.

Attendance at AlumniUV activities implies knowledge of this fact.

 

13. Data protection policy

14. Exclusion of responsibilities

General exclusions:

The access of the user to the AlumniUV website does not imply for the owner of the same the obligation to control the absence of viruses, worms or any other harmful computer element.

It is the responsibility of the user, in any case, to have adequate tools for the detection and disinfection of harmful computer programs.

The owner of the service is not responsible for any damage caused to the software or hardware of the computer equipment with which the user accesses the website.

The owner of the service is not responsible for damages of any kind caused to the user that are the consequence of failures or disconnections in the telecommunications networks and that cause the suspension, cancellation or interruption of the website service. during the provision of the same or in advance.

 

Responsibilities for links and content of external resources

The website access service may include technical link devices, directories and even search tools that allow the user to access other Internet pages and portals (hereinafter, linked sites).

In these cases, the Fundació General de la Universitat de València will only be responsible for the content and services provided on the linked sites to the extent that it has effective knowledge of the illegality. In the event that the user considers that there is a site linked to illegal or inappropriate content, he / she may notify the Fundació General de la Universitat de València, without this communication entailing the obligation to remove the corresponding link.

In no case, the existence of linked sites must presuppose the formalization of agreements with those responsible or owners thereof, nor the recommendation, promotion or identification of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia with the statements, content or services provided by the holder of the same.

The General Foundation of the University of Valencia does not know the contents and services of the linked sites and, therefore, is not responsible for the damages caused by the illegality, quality, outdated, unavailability, error and uselessness of the contents and / or services of the linked sites or for any other damage that is not directly attributable to you.

 

15. Intellectual and industrial property rights of the AlumniUV website

All the contents of the web page, understood by these, by way of example, the texts, photographs, graphics, images, icons, technology, software, links and other audiovisual or sound content, as well as its graphic design and source codes, are Intellectual property of the Fundació General de la Universitat de València, or of third parties, without any of the exploitation rights recognized by current regulations on intellectual property over them being understood to be assigned to the user.

Access to the website does not grant users any right or ownership over the intellectual property rights of the content that this website hosts.

Trademarks, trade names or distinctive signs are owned by the Fundació General de la Universitat de València or third parties, without it being understood that access to the website attributes any right over them.

 

16. Use of the AlumniUV website

The services offered on the website are aimed exclusively at people of legal age.

By accessing and registering on the AlumniUV website, the user declares and guarantees that they are of sufficient legal age to enter into a binding contract, and that all the registration information they present is accurate, truthful and up-to-date.

The user agrees to use the FGUV Courses website, and all its content and services, in accordance with the provisions of the Law, the statutes of the General Foundation of the University of Valencia, morality, Public order and these Conditions of Use. Likewise, it undertakes to make appropriate use of the services and / or contents of the website and not to use them to carry out illegal or criminal activities that violate the rights of third parties and / or that infringe current regulations on intellectual and industrial property, or any other regulations of the applicable legal system.

The Fundació General de la Universitat de València will not respond to any possible claim, fine, penalty or sanction that it may be obliged to bear as a result of the breach by the user of any of the aforementioned rules of use, reserving, in addition, the owner of the website the right to request compensation for damages that corresponds.

 

17. Nullity and ineffectiveness of clauses

In the event that any provision or provisions of these general conditions were considered null and void or inapplicable, in whole or in part, by any Court, Tribunal or competent administrative body, said nullity or inapplication will not affect the other provisions of the general conditions or the particular conditions of the different services of the FGUV.

The non-exercise or execution by the FGUV of any right or provision contained in these general conditions will not constitute a waiver thereof, unless acknowledgment and agreement in writing by you.

 

18. Applicable legislation and competent jurisdiction

These Conditions of Use will be governed or interpreted in accordance with current Spanish legislation in that which is not expressly established. The owner of the website and the user may submit any dispute that may arise from the provision of the products or services object of these Conditions of Use, to the courts and tribunals of the domicile of the owner of the website unless that legally established otherwise.
