  • Who can belong to Alumni?

     

    All Alumni of the University of Valencia can be part of it as well as any older person who wants to be linked to the entity, for one reason or another.

  • What does it mean to be Alumni UV Basic?

    The Alumni UV Basic does not pay a fee and does not have a card.

    The Alumni UV Basic has the following advantages:

    • Receive the biweekly Bulletin of the AlumniUV Community
    • Participate in the AlumniUV Community Activities
    • Access UVocupació
    • Access UVempren
    • Be AlumniUV Premium
  • What do I need to do to sign up?

    From now on, the AlumniUV registration process will be online from the website www.uv.es/alumiuv

    Prior registration will be required in the "I WANT TO BE ALUMNI UV COMMUNITY" section, which implies the prior acceptance of the Conditions of Use and the Privacy Policy of AlumniUV

    If the person needs help in the online registration process, they can go to the AlumniUV office when the health situation allows it (Amadeo de Saboya, 4-5th floor).

  • ¿Qué significa ser Alumni UV Premium?

    The AlumniUV Premium pays an annual fee and has a card equal to that of the rest of the university community.


    The AlumniUV Premium can benefit from the following advantages:

    • Advantages Common to the University Community (access to services such as UV libraries, free Wi-Fi eduroam, VPN connection, UV languages ​​and discounts on FGUV Courses, UV Sports Card, La TendaUV, UV Publications, Nau dels Xiquets i les Xiquetes, Free Method, etc)
    • Exclusive Advantages of AlumniUV Premium

  • What documents do I need to present?

    The person must upload the supporting documentation to their AlumniUV Space throughout the online registration. The data provided will be processed by the FGUV in accordance with the provisions of the AlumniUV Privacy Policy.

    ALUMNIUV Basic documentation:

    It will have to be provided:
    • Name and surname
    • DNI
    • Email

     

    ALUMNIUV Premium documentation:

    It will have to be provided:
    • Personal information.
    • A photo in jpg format (in color, white background, face, front and without sunglasses or other elements such as caps, hats, etc.). The size must be less than 500 Kb.
    • Proof of payment of the first installment (the additional information must be reviewed to see if you are entitled to a reduced and / or free fee)
    • DNI or Passport or NIE

    If the person needs help in the online registration process, they can go to the AlumniUV office when the health situation allows it (Amadeo de Saboya, 4-5th floor).

  • Is it mandatory to present a photograph?

    Yes. All UV Alumni cards carry an identifying photography.

  • What is the fee to be paid to belong to the collective?

    The fee is annual, counting from the month of payment. This month is the one that will determine your renewal. Thus, a fee paid on May 15, 2019 will be renewed before this date in 2020. The Alumni person will receive a payment reminder by email and SMS 30 days before the expiration of their fee.

    Within the AlumniUV Community there are two types of subscription and this will determine the type of fee that must be paid.

    The AlumniUV Basic does not pay a fee.
    The AlumniUV Premium does pay a fee.

    Within the AlumniUV Premium there are different types of fees:

    • General fee of € 42
    • Reduced fee of € 32
    • Fee for newly graduates 2nd year of € 21
    • Fee for newly graduates 1st year of € 0

     

  • What is the UV Alumni Space?

    The AlumniUV Space is an intranet that each member of the AlumniUV Community will have and which will be accessed by username and password.

    In this Space you can modify personal data, manage the payment of fees, update documentation, download certificates, etc.

    In no case, the person may register another person without proper authorization.

    The registered person will be responsible, at all times, for the custody of their password, consequently assuming any damages that may arise from its improper use, as well as the transfer, disclosure or loss of it. For these purposes, access to the private area of ​​the AlumniUV website under the password of a registered person will be deemed to have been made by said registered person, who will be responsible in all cases for said access and use.

    By virtue of the foregoing, it is the obligation of the person to immediately notify the General Foundation of the University of Valencia (alumniuv@uv.es) of any fact that allows the improper use of the password, such as theft, loss, or unauthorized access to them, in order to proceed with their immediate cancellation.

    As long as such facts are not communicated, the General Foundation of the University of Valencia will be exempt from any liability that may arise from the improper use of the password by unauthorized third parties.

  • Can I access the 21 euros fee for Recent Graduates without having enjoyed the free fee?

    No, to access the 21 euros fee you must have enjoyed a first year of the free fee. For example, counting that we are in 2017, an old student who finished a degree in 2015 will NOT be able to access 21 euros if he did not enjoy the free fee in 2016.

  • How do I pay the fee?

    The fee can be paid with:
    
    •	Credit card. Either directly from the AlumniUV website or in person at the General Foundation office in Amadeo de Saboya, 4-5 floor (when the health situation allows it)
    •	Wire transfer. The account number is ES36 2085 9354 3303 3022 2875 (Ibercaja). The receipt must be uploaded to the AlumniUV Space so that it is correctly recorded.
    
    •	Cash payment. In person at the General Foundation office in Amadeo de Saboya, 4-5th floor (when the health situation allows it)
    • Direct debit. You will have to download the specific banking mandate and upload it signed in the AlumniUV Space so that it is correctly recorded.

     

     

  • Can I pick up the card at the offices of the General Foundation?

    Not.

    Since September 2016, the AlumniUV card can be collected at the Banco Santander university offices. After receiving an email from the AlumniUV office confirming that the card can now be collected, you must go in person with your ID before the last Friday of the current month.


    Hours: Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.


    The last Friday of the month the data will be blocked and it will be necessary to wait for the UV to send it by post. The card will arrive at the address about 10 business days after the last Friday of the month.

    (*) Those people who need the card to access the sports facilities of the UV, will not be able to wait to receive it at home. They must collect it personally and go to the Secretariat of the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences for validation. After this validation, the lathes system will allow access.

     

  • Which groups does the reduced fee of 32€ affect?

    The reduced fee of 32 € applies to the following groups:

    People equal to or older than 65 years.
    Early or retired people.
    People with a disability equal to or greater than 33%
    People in unemployment situation.
    People who are part of a large family

    The documentation that must be uploaded to the AlumniUV Space to justify this reduction is the following:

    a) People who are currently 65 years of age or older will upload their ID or equivalent document to their AlumniUV Space.
    b) People who are early or retired, will upload to their AlumniUV Space the documentation that proves it
    c) Unemployed people will upload to their AlumniUV Space the certificate of employment status with the updated date
    d) People with disabilities will upload to their AlumniUV Space the document that shows that their degree of disability is equal to or greater than 33%
    e) People who are part of a large family will present the document that proves their condition

    (*) The employment status certificate must be submitted annually with the updated date. The rest of the documentation will only need to be presented once.

  • Does the AlumniUV card have a VISA card service?

    No

  • Who are affected by the fee for newly graduates and graduates?

    Newly graduates will be considered those students who have recently completed Bachelor's studies, Official Postgraduate Master's degrees from the University of Valencia and Adeit's own Postgraduate Programs. (Example: If we are in 2020 it would be those people with a 2019 title)

    The fee for recent graduates from the University of Valencia will be free for one year. The second year will be 21 euros and the third year the full fee will be requested (provided that the person cannot take advantage of a reduced fee).

    You will not be able to access the 21 euro fee if you have not enjoyed a first year of free membership.

    The Nau Gran diploma will not be valid to access the reduced fee.

    The documentation to be provided through the AlumniUV Space is as follows:

    ·         Personal information

    Upload the ID or equivalent document to the AlumniUV Space

    · Upload to the AlumniUV Space a photo in jpg format (color, white background, face, front and without sunglasses or other elements such as caps, hats, etc). The size must be less than 500 Kb.

    Upload documentation to the AlumniUV Space that demonstrates the status of a newly graduated person (title or deposit of title)

    Newly graduates will have to verify that they do not have an active card at the University of Valencia. If so, they will have to cancel it at the corresponding faculty secretary.

  • When does the card expire?

    The plastic of the AlumniUV Premium card expires 6 years after its issuance and the date appears on the front. But if the fee is not renewed annually, the AlumniUV Premium will change to the AlumniUV Basic mode and the card will be canceled.

  • Do I need to bring the card to access the discounts offered by the collaborating companies?

     

    Yes. The card is the element that accredits the UV Alumni as a member of the collective and most companies will require it to apply the discount.

     

  • Can I keep the email account of the Universitat de València with the Alumni UV card?

    Currently, the University of Valencia allows you to use the email account within its domain.

    If a member of the AlumniUV Community has forgotten it, they should contact the office to help them restore service (Tel. 963531070).

    If the new AlumniUV already had an email account within the University domain (@ alumni.uv.es / @ uv.es) it will be activated again in 24 hours at the time the new Alumni card is requested, keeping the same previously had password.

    If the new UV Alumni does not have an email account within the University domain, one will be activated with the ending @ ext.uv.es

  • Can I request a provisional certification to be used at the Universitat de València until I receive the card?

    Yes. This certification replaces the UV Alumni card within UV libraries and must be kept until the card is physically available. Afterwards, it can be broken.

    An AlumniUV Premium can request a certificate by sending an email alumniuv@uv.es

    
     
  • Can I have two active cards at the Universitat de València?

    No. At the Universitat de València you can only have one active card. If you think that you can have an active card, you will have to cancel it beforehand in the corresponding service.

    • If you have a Student Card you will need to speak with the Secretary of the Faculty where you where enrolled.
    • If you have a Postgraduate Card, you will need to speak with the Third Cycle Service.
    • If you have a PAS (administrative and service staff) Card you will need to speak with Human Resources (PAS).
    • If you have a PDI (teaching and research staff) Card you will need to speak with Human Resources (PDI).
  • If after 10 working days from the last Friday of the month I have not received my card, what should I do?

    First, it must be verified that the necessary documentation was uploaded to the AlumniUV Space: complete personal data, a photo, ID or equivalent document, additional documentation that justifies a reduced or free fee and proof of payment.

    Second, it must be verified that said documentation has been validated by the AlumniUV office.

    Third, you must verify that you have received an email from the AlumniUV office with the instructions to collect the card (check Spam and Spam)
    If all these checks are correct and you have not received the card, call the office (96 353 10 70).

    We recommend that as a first option you personally collect the card at one of the three University Offices of Banco Santander.

    Paga la quota que et correspon, emplena les dades personals que es demanem i puja la documentació. En un parell de dies hàbils es validarà la documentació i rebràs un email amb les indicacions per a recollir el nou carnet.

  • How to change the Alumni UV Premium subscription to Alumni UV Basic or vice versa?

    To make these changes, the person will have to access their AlumniUV Space and identify themselves with a username and password.

    An AlumniUV Premium may request to upgrade to AlumniUV Basic and stop paying the annual fee. You may also cease to be AlumniUV Basic and consequently cease to be part of the AlumniUV Community.

    An AlumniUV Basic may request to stop being part of the AlumniUV Community whenever they wish.

    To avoid the collection of the annual fee if it were domiciled, the request must be made before the 25th of the month prior to the renewal date, since once the payment has been made, the amount will not be able to be refunded.

    Regardless of the chosen payment method, AlumniUV will send a reminder by email and SMS in which it will be informed of the next payment date, specifying the maximum term to pay the fee. If during this time the payment of the fee has not been made, the user will cease to be AlumniUV Premium and will become AlumniUV Basic.
