UVjob, which is a Service of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Lifelong Learning, is collaborating with Caixa Popular in this new edition of the ‘Caixa Popular 2023 Challenge’ talent programme, which is aimed at students of the official degrees of the Faculty of Economics at the Universitat de València.
The aim of this initiative is to support students of the Universitat de València to develop their professional potential and employability. Students will participate in pairs. Those interested in participating can register online until 16 November.
In order to participate, students must have passed at least 50% of the total credits of one of the following degrees of the UV: Business Management and Administration; Business Intelligence and Analytics; Economics; Finance and Accounting; International Business; Double Degree in Business Management and Administration; Double Degree in Law + Economics; Double Degree in Tourism + Business Management and Administration; and Degree in Tourism, as well as having a basic level of written and spoken Catalan.
The ‘Caixa Popular 2023 Challenge’ will run from 30 November to 12 December in a blended, face-to-face and online format, with participants being able to solve a case in pairs over the established days. The list of admitted participants will be published on 20 November, and each participating pair will also be informed of their incorporation to the Challenge.
On the first day of the programme, Caixa Popular will invite students to take on the role of creators of Caixa Popular products and services, proposing a line of business adapted to the current needs of young people. This approach will have to be engaging and linked to sustainability.
A team of specialists from Caixa Popular will be available to help attendees. Meanwhile, specialists from UVjob will support the challenge in all aspects and/or needs related to their professional integration. Lastly, the challenge will be solved by the experts through a practical workshop in a closing session at the end of the competition.
This year’s “Talent and Employment Challenge” programme establishes three prizes for the winning pairs — €300, €200 and €100 respectively. In addition, they will have the possibility of a paid internship at Caixa Popular.
