Equality Committee

The Equality Committee (CI) of I2SysBio was created in November 2022 with the goal of promoting and guaranteeing equal opportunities for all the institute’s staff.

The committee ensures the resolution of any conflicts provoked by questions of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion or any other aspect that could cause problems among members of the institute.

Our committee has a list of members who seek to represent the majority of collectives in I2SysBio.

Committee objectives

  • To ensure that all members of the institute have access to equal opportunities in their professional environment.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for any member who suffers from any type of harassment or discrimination in their place of work.
  • Act as a liaison, when required, between the members of the institute and the management bodies in the event of conflict.
  • Collaborate with other centres or institutes in order to seek out new strategies and procedures that promote equality in the work place.
  • Communicate the initiatives taken at the institute in different forums and draw on other external initiatives for equality.
  • Initiate actions to promote and facilitate peaceful coexistence at the institute.
